Dr. Fralick is also a consultant for a start-up company, based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, that has developed a CRISPR-based point of care diagnostic test for coronavirus disease 2019. Husam Abdel-Qadir reports receiving personal fees from Amgen, outside the submitted work, and payments from the Canadian Vigour Centre (an academic research organization) to serve on the endpoint adjudication committee for the THEMIS trial, which was funded by AstraZeneca.
