you mean frequent reassortment ?
how can it be rapid

we noticed the reassortments with poultry H9N2

China did lots of poultry sampling recently, they found only 50
or such H7N9, but the reassortments show that there must
be lots of H9N2, where there is H7N9.

They could check those samples for H9N2. The H9N2 samples will
probably show how and where it reassorts, how it evolved,
when there was the H7N9 introduction or whether there
were even multiple introductions.

Shanghai/1 is different from the others.

and in several of the Pasteur-isolates from Shanghai at GISAID,
here it's unclear whether the multiple mutations are sequencing errors
or indicate reassortments.
Maybe some GISAID-member can evaluate this.

The most obvious reassortment is the new segment 7
(Taiwan,Nanjing,Hangzhou,Pasteur-Shanghai)

we have H7N9 with 2 different MPs segment 7,
~20 nucleotides ~ 5 years apart
