Christchurch's earthquake-hit schools have been dealt another blow after discovering insurance does not cover parts of their grounds and they must pay the repair bill.
Some schools face paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix pathways, courts, swimming pools and boiler rooms. These facilities are not covered by the Education Ministry's insurance policy.
