According to @平安北京, in response to the false information related to the epidemic that "Beijing has found 4 confirmed cases, and the trajectory is mainly in Xidan Joy City, Beijing-Shenzhen, and Xinfadi" on the Internet, it has aroused the concern of netizens. The Beijing police quickly launched investigations.
After investigation, the false information was first posted by Wang (female, 66 years old) to five WeChat groups on October 1, and was later reposted more than 8,000 times, causing adverse social effects and severely disrupting public order. On October 3, the Fangshan police ruled on the punishment of administrative detention for 7 days in accordance with Article 25 of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Public Security Administration Punishments.
