Our city conducts emergency response tabletop drill on pneumonia of unknown cause

In order to further enhance the epidemic response capabilities of the grassroots infectious disease emergency teams in our city, the Municipal Health Commission and the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention organized a tabletop exercise for the emergency response to the epidemic of unknown cause in Pingjiang County on the afternoon of June 4. Five grassroots infectious disease emergency teams from Pingjiang County, Xiangyin County, Yueyang County, Miluo City, and Qu Yuan Management District participated in the exercise, and Linxiang City, Yunxi District, Junshan District, Economic Development Zone, and Nanhu New District observed on site, with a total of more than 70 people participating.
The drill adopted a scenario simulation method, simulating the entire process of emergency response to an outbreak of clustered pneumonia of unknown cause in our city. It included multiple links such as case discovery and reporting, epidemic verification, on-site investigation and case search, hypothesis formation and verification. The participating team members answered questions and finally received comments from experts.
During the exercise, all emergency response team members followed the exercise plan, performed their duties, cooperated with each other, communicated with each other, answered questions seriously, and performed on-site operations and demonstrations on the wearing and taking off of protective clothing and specimen collection. The exercise process was orderly and the desktop exercise task was successfully completed, achieving the goal of testing emergency response capabilities and training the emergency response team.
