Recently, the Free Trade Zone organized the 2025 Lingang New Materials Industrial Park Emergency Drill and the Dagu Chemical Hazardous Chemical Major Hazard Source Special Emergency Drill at Tianjin Dagu Chemical Co., Ltd. The drill was jointly sponsored by the Free Trade Zone Emergency Management Bureau, the Free Trade Zone Urban Environment Bureau, Dagu Chemical, and the enterprise fire rescue team, and more than 40 enterprise safety managers in the park observed the drill on site.
This drill simulated the emergency response process of a production safety accident in which a major hazardous source of the first-level styrene storage tank of Dagu Chemical, a key enterprise in the Lingang New Materials Industrial Park, leaked from the discharge pipeline, causing poisoning and coma of personnel and friction static fire. After the accident, Dagu Chemical immediately activated the enterprise emergency plan and urgently carried out emergency response at the team and company levels. After the accident was upgraded and responded, the park emergency command center promptly launched the "Special Emergency Plan for Major Hazard Sources of Hazardous Chemicals in Tianjin Lingang New Materials Industrial Park". All emergency rescue teams cooperated closely and responded quickly to successfully complete the emergency response work. The entire drill process was tense and orderly, well organized, and all links were smoothly connected, achieving good drill results.
According to reports, in the next step, the Free Trade Zone Emergency Management Bureau will focus on the theme of this year's Safety Production Month "Everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to respond to emergencies - find safety hazards around you", and promote the implementation of related work such as the region's plan system, coordinated linkage mechanism, and comprehensive emergency guarantees. It will urge regional special plans and various types of enterprise plans to "practice as much as possible", continuously improve the companies' own handling capabilities and regional comprehensive emergency rescue capabilities, and ensure that the safety production situation in the jurisdiction continues to be stable and positive.
