To further strengthen the primary defense capabilities of police stations, enhance the security and prevention capabilities of hospitals, and solidify the hospital's security defenses, the Binhe Police Station of the Dingtao Branch of the Heze Municipal Public Security Bureau recently provided guidance to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in its jurisdiction on the construction of the smallest emergency unit, emergency response mechanism, and daily security patrols. The guidance clarified the division of responsibilities and collaborative procedures, laying a solid foundation for future police-medical cooperation and jointly safeguarding the safety of the medical environment.
First, Deputy Director Sang Jun delivered a precise lecture based on the actual hospital scenario. He explained the construction specifications for the smallest emergency unit of medical institutions and combined typical cases such as violence against medical staff, public security disputes, and hospital fires to explain the key points of emergency response, fire hazards, fire protection regulations, and evacuation and escape knowledge.
Following this, a live-action drill simulating a physical altercation arising from a patient dispute in the outpatient building was conducted. The hospital's smallest emergency response unit arrived at the scene within the designated time, evacuated the crowd, reported the situation, and called the police. Police officers from the local police station arrived and coordinated with the hospital to handle the situation. Next, a fire safety skills drill was held. Sang Jun demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, and trainees practiced using them one by one, mastering initial fire suppression techniques. After the drill, Sang Jun reviewed the highlights and shortcomings of the exercise, providing suggestions for improvement regarding areas such as unfamiliarity with procedures and incomplete processes.
This training effectively strengthened the safety awareness and sense of responsibility of security personnel in local hospitals, and further improved the operational capabilities of the smallest emergency unit in handling riots and other emergencies. Next, the Binhe Police Station will strengthen close cooperation between the police and medical institutions, and with standardized and professional work requirements, solidify the hospital's security defenses, providing strong support for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the police station's primary security functions.
