Reports from several hospitals in Taishan that the number of pediatric patients is up significantly due to cold weather. Also, this is the time of year where respiratory infections increase. Some school classes are only 1/3 full. There are many severe bacterial and viral pneumonia cases, some requiring hospitalization in ICU.
