On February 6th, the Jinan City Imported Container Epidemic Prevention and Control Team issued an information bulletin: On February 5th, a batch of imported Russian frozen beef nucleic acid tests were positive for a batch of imported cold chain food centralized supervision warehouses in Jinan City .

The elephant in the room for me is that initially I presumed that these random "frozen food" and "chilled food" contamination problems were caused by human handling of product. The EFSA report quoted above states

"EFSA’s chief scientist, Marta Hugas, said: “Experiences from previous outbreaks of related coronaviruses, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), show that transmission through food consumption did not occur. At the moment, there is no evidence to suggest that coronavirus is any different in this respect.”

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has said that while animals in China were the likely source of the initial infection, the virus is spreading from person to person – mainly via respiratory droplets that people sneeze, cough, or exhale. Or....the entire "frozen" phenomena is really an accounting of current human COVID-19 outbreaks. In the past "interesting" outbreaks have been blamed on weather and "air conditioning" disease.

All other countries in the world have discounted human COVID-19 cases being caused by frozen bits of COVID-19 genetic material found on packaging.

Like I said earlier, I am keeping track of "frozen". It is a sign of something, I just do not know what.
