introduction
Coronaviruses are a large group of viruses that are known to cause disease. Patients present with different clinical symptoms ranging from the common cold to severe lung infections, such as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The new coronavirus 2019-nCov (hereinafter referred to as virus species) discovered in Wuhan is a new coronavirus that has not been found in humans before.
The National Science and Technology Resource Service System for New Coronaviruses (hereinafter referred to as the system) is jointly constructed by the National Microbial Scientific Data Center and the National Pathogen Microbial Resource Database, and is organized by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Viral Disease Control and Prevention, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences The Institute, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Pathogen Microbiology and Immunology, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention-Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Joint Research Center for Pathogen Microbial Resources and Big Data, and other units jointly constructed. The system has functions such as virus species information, primer information, and global coronavirus sequence information query and analysis.
The system obtained the National Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Platform, the prevention and treatment of major infectious diseases such as AIDS and viral hepatitis (2018ZX10734404, 2018ZX1010100404), the Chinese Academy of Sciences Earthquake Big Data Pioneer A Project (XDA19050301), and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Strategic Biological Resources Program (KFJ-BRP) And other project support.
The system will release authoritative information on scientific and technological resources and scientific data of new coronaviruses in time with the progress of scientific research on new coronaviruses, provide important support for scientific research of new coronaviruses, and prevent and control the pneumonia epidemic in response to current new coronavirus infections. Provide special services for scientific and technological resources.
