　　The Information Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released on September 30, and the O-type foot-and-mouth disease epidemic occurred in pigs transferred to Chongqing from Guangdong and Yunnan.
　　On September 21, a group of pigs transferred to Chongqing in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, were found to have suspected foot and mouth disease symptoms at the Chongqing Animal Health Supervision and Inspection Station. On September 21, Chongqing Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center was diagnosed as positive for foot-and-mouth disease virus nucleic acid. On September 30, it was diagnosed by the National Foot-and-Mouth Disease Reference Laboratory. The outbreak was an O-type foot-and-mouth disease epidemic.
　　On September 21st, a group of pigs transferred to Chongqing in Qujing City, Yunnan Province, were found to have suspected foot and mouth disease symptoms at the Chongqing Animal Health Supervision and Inspection Station. On September 22, Chongqing Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center was diagnosed as positive for foot-and-mouth disease virus nucleic acid. On September 30, it was diagnosed by the National Foot-and-Mouth Disease Reference Laboratory. The outbreak was an O-type foot-and-mouth disease epidemic.
　　After the outbreak, Chongqing handled the epidemic situation in accordance with the relevant plans and technical requirements for prevention and control. It has culled and harmlessly treated 213 hair sick pigs and the same group of pigs. Guangdong and Yunnan carried out comprehensive investigation and emergency monitoring around the transfer site, and earnestly carried out the work of immunization and disinfection of livestock. At present, the epidemic has been effectively disposed of.
