I got the following news from a news from VOA china:
I, however, cannot understand whether they are the new case (from the date of announcement of this article, it maybe the new case).
In my list, there are already 6 Sichuan cases including two(2) found in the other provinces....
(Among the said list, there are two(2) cases of whom no sex, age, surname is described when they were diagnosed on Jan. 25)
So, they might be a new case. If my understanding is correct, the VOA's "the 6th case" means to those who are diagnosed within Sichuan Province (excludes two found in other provinces...)

CHINA: Sichuan province found two(2) H7N9cases
Feb. 14, 2017 19:02
China Sichuan Province reported two(2) H7N9 avian-flu cases again.
Upto now, Sichuan province has had 6 cases in total.

Two patients are male.
One of them is 60 years old, the other is 48 years old.
A provincial staff said;
These two are in critical situation.
Those who have close contact has not any symptom yet.
The authority is taking prevention measures.

Early February, the province found a H7N9 case who was the first in the province.
China has found the country's first case in Feb. 2013.
Almost every cases are found in Winter-Spring season.

http://www.voachinese.com/a/china-h7...4/3723709.html

These cases are listed:

a17. Male, 60, [Hwang], Renglong, Pengxi, county, Sichuan province CHP rpt 14/2/17

a18, Female, 48, [Zhou], Cangshan, Zhongjiang county, Sichuan province CHP rpt 14/2/17

I think Sichuan does not count imported cases as their own cases.

Good morning, Sharon-san!
Thanks for your comment.
In Japan, the patient(s) are registered not based upon the place the patient is diagnosed but the place he/she got ill.
I do not know how the government handle the cases In China exactly.
How is your country? If there is any time, please advise me
Mickey

I believe in the US each local official reports the cases diagnosed in their area with an explanation of where the cases may have traveled from.

Generally most governments do not want to be blamed for any outbreak. It is very costly to admit a large disease outbreak.

I believe we are seeing only a small fraction of the true H7N9 case numbers in China.

Hi, Sharon-san!
I have a question on the Patient #741:
While the Patient #740 and 742 is reported on the year 2016, (according to NEJM paper) the No.741 suddenly appeared as the patient of 2015.
Is the NEJM report's typo?
Since I do not know well about the case-numbering system, please advise me of it if possible.

#741 - Male, 35, retroactive case appearing in NEJM paper, onset February 3, 2015, hospitalized February 9, health care worker, contact of case #522, Shantou, Guangdong province note

I added the case to the list in the time frame when I discovered it. I discovered it with the NEJM paper so I added it to the list at that time. It is a retroactive case - which means this case was reported much later after the actual illness dates.

Sharon-san, Good evening!

As for the New Shandong (Tengzhou) case which you have already posted, I found an article in Xinlang (Sina.com)

Paragraph 2 of this article, the reporter is describing a little bit more in detail than the Dongyingwang.
"记者了解到,这名患者姓赵,今年44岁,家住滕州市荆河街道,在当地开了一家小饭店,已经经营了几个年头。"
and in Paragraph 3,
The reporter says that the patient had a daily contact to chickens in his restaurant which is already closed at present.
出事后,患者赵某某的这家饭店就处于关门状态。记者了解到,患者平日里经常和鸡有接触。

From these lines, we can say the patient is:

Age: 44 years old
Sex: Male
Living in: Xinghe town, Tangzhou city, Shandong province
Occupation: Owner of a small restaurant (or hotel?) in the city for some years
Contact to Birds: yes, daily contact

Other paragraphs are same as Sharon-san reported.
