Lhasa People's Hospital conducts emergency drill on the treatment of acute stroke patients
In order to further enhance the level of collaboration among various departments of the hospital's stroke center and improve the quality and efficiency of treatment for acute stroke patients, the Lhasa People's Hospital recently organized relevant departments to carry out emergency drills for the treatment of acute stroke patients.
This drill was conducted in the form of a simulated case. A 55-year-old middle-aged man suddenly fell ill at home, accompanied by symptoms such as left limb weakness and slurred speech. One hour after the onset of the disease, he came to the hospital on his own. After the emergency first-visit doctor received the patient, he asked about the medical history in detail and performed a neurological examination. Considering that the patient had an acute stroke, he immediately coordinated a consultation with the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery and activated the stroke green channel. After the patient completed the ECG monitoring, venous blood sampling, and blood sugar measurement processes, he was escorted to the radiology department for a head CTA examination to rule out acute cerebral infarction. At the same time, communicate with the patient's family and sign a consent form to prepare for the patient's next treatment. The whole process was tense and orderly. The patient went to the emergency department to thrombolysis and thrombectomy on his own, and the DNT and DPT times were both up to standard.
Relevant person in charge of the Lhasa People's Hospital said that this emergency drill was a concentrated display of the hospital's stroke center construction achievements, which further unblocked the stroke center's green channel, improved the medical staff's emergency response capabilities and the stroke team's multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment capabilities, optimized the "zero delay" process for rescuing stroke patients, and injected new impetus into improving the stroke center's treatment level.
