During the event, relevant personnel gave in-depth and easy-to-understand lectures on the analysis of the prevention and control of major animal epidemics, the management of compulsory animal immunization vaccines and the legal performance of official veterinarians and the centralized rectification of the official veterinary team, key points and precautions in the technical operation of compulsory animal immunization, and the interpretation of the provincial animal husbandry policies and main promoted technologies in 2025. They also answered various questions raised by the trainees on the spot.
After the training, an on-site simulation of an outbreak of PPR in a designated cattle and sheep slaughterhouse in Yongchang County was conducted. In accordance with the requirements of the "Jinchang City Emergency Plan for Major Animal Epidemics", our city quickly organized six working groups: technical expert group, blockade and quarantine group, culling and harmless treatment group, epidemiological investigation group, disinfection and source elimination group, and immunization group. Drills were conducted on three aspects: epidemic reporting, diagnosis and early disposal, epidemic confirmation, activation of emergency plans and emergency disposal, and termination of epidemic response and post-event handling.
Through the training and drills, the trainees have a better grasp and control of the daily work priorities and operational details, which will lay a solid foundation for promoting the standardized implementation of animal epidemic prevention, quarantine and other business activities by the city's grassroots epidemic prevention personnel and large-scale breeders, preventing the spread of zoonotic diseases in all links of production and circulation, ensuring the safety of breeding industry production, and effectively protecting people's lives, health and food safety.
