Jiangxi Province holds emergency drill on drug safety incidents

In order to further strengthen the emergency response capabilities for drug safety emergencies, on May 14, the 2025 Jiangxi Province Drug Safety Emergency Drill was held in Zhanggong District, Ganzhou City, hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Drug Administration and Ganzhou Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by the Ganzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration and Zhanggong District People's Government.
This exercise adopts the form of "scenario video + real-life scene + on-site demonstration", simulating the occurrence of drug safety emergencies caused by a certain injection in two hospitals in Zhanggong District. The exercise is divided into four stages: incident reporting and preliminary disposal, response initiation and incident investigation, response escalation and emergency disposal, response termination and post-disposal. It shows that under the unified command of the government, all relevant departments perform their duties, cooperate closely, coordinate and respond quickly, and take measures and actions to deal with them. It tests the effectiveness of the construction of the emergency response system for drug safety emergencies and further enhances the ability of all levels and units to coordinate and respond to drug safety emergencies.
The National Drug Administration Advanced Training Institute (National Drug Administration Safety Emergency Drill Center) provided technical guidance for this drill. The drill was well organized, the plan was feasible, the elements were complete, the key points were highlighted, the mechanism was sound, the collaboration was smooth, the professionalism was strong, and the participation was high. It achieved the purpose of "using drills to promote training and using training to prepare for war". It was a high-level and effective drill. The provincial drug supervision and management departments will take this drill as an opportunity to further increase the monitoring and judgment of public opinion, guidance and management, strengthen emergency response capacity building, and continue to promote the high-quality development of drug supervision.
