In recent days (and all summer) there has been a "marked increase" in the number of children admitted with upper respiratory track infections, pneumonia, and bacterial enteritis, to a hospital in Heyuan City in Guangdong province. Further cases are expected after school starts. Parents are advised to visit clinics after 5:30 pm to avoid long lines in the mornings.
