China - H5N1 human sequences

It looks like China released more sequences in early April, some of them going back to 2005 and 2006. By my count, partial sequences are available for 31 of 38 human H5N1 cases confirmed in China. What is interesting is that the collection date for many of the samples corresponds directly with the symptom onset date reported by WHO. I wonder how so many positive samples could be collected on the first day of symptom onset.
