2026-09-14 15:27Huasheng Online, September 14 – On September 11, Daoxian People's Hospital conducted a small-scale emergency response drill for counter-te rrorism and riot control. The drill, conducted without a script or rehearsal, simulated an extreme scenario where two armed assailants stormed into the outpatient hall. More than 30 security personnel, medical staff, and volunteers tested the effectiveness of the "1-minute self-rescue, 3-minute mutual rescue, and 5-minute reinforcement" emergency response mechanism, adding another layer of security to the construction of a "safe hospital."
Counter-ter rorism and riot control drills
Hospitals, with their high density of people and diverse backgrounds, are key areas for public safety. Protecting the safety of patients requires meticulous daily management and, more importantly, the ability to handle emergencies. This drill did not involve a scripted performance; the scenario was set directly in the outpatient hall. Participants did not follow a pre-set procedure but instead went through the entire process from hazard discovery, alarm warning, tactical response, personnel evacuation, and medical assistance. The drill primarily tested the security team's on-the-spot response, collaborative operations, and multi-departmental coordination capabilities.
