Recently , an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5 subtype) in wild birds was reported in Fuhai County, Altay Prefecture, in our region , involving the Karahoying Reservoir and Akdala Reservoir . A total of 330 wild birds, including greylag geese, were found dead . Following the outbreak, local authorities immediately implemented standardized procedures in accordance with relevant emergency response plans, and conducted monitoring and screening of surrounding poultry, along with enhanced immunization programs. No abnormalities were found in the poultry.
