[h=1]African swine fever spread in 21 provinces and cities, land has not been notified to Taiwan[/h] Latest update: 2018/12/06 18:36

(Central News Agency reporter Zhai Zonghan, Taipei, 6th) The mainland China pig plague outbreak since August. Mainland Affairs Department spokesman Qiu Chengzheng said today that the epidemic continues to expand, and 21 provinces and cities have fallen into 88 cases, but the mainland has not yet notified the cross-strait agreement mechanism.
Yu Kangzhen, deputy director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, said yesterday that as of December 3, there were 79 cases of domestic pig outbreaks and 2 wild boar epidemics in 21 provinces. Lu Fang announced today that Hejiang County, Cangzhou City, Sichuan Province, Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, and Shunyi District, Beijing, have detected the African swine fever epidemic.
The Continental Committee held a regular press conference in the afternoon. Qiu Ding was answering relevant questions and said that the epidemic situation of pigs in Africa in China continued to expand. According to the statistics of the Agricultural Committee of the Executive Yuan, there are currently 21 provinces and cities with 88 cases.
He stressed that the government has repeatedly requested the land side through the agreement platform and the contact window of the MAC-China Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, but the mainland has not notified the relevant information. Therefore, the government continues to obtain relevant information through the World Organisation for Animal Health and initiate epidemic prevention measures.
Qiu Chengzheng said that in accordance with the "Straits Cross-Strait Agricultural Products Quarantine Inspection Cooperation Agreement", the two sides agreed to timely report the major epidemic situation and safety and health incidents of imported and exported agricultural products, and the two sides have also reported on the bird flu epidemic in the past.
Qiu Chengzheng said that due to the high risk of contracting African pig plague, in order to ensure the development of cross-strait pig industry and ensure the safety of cross-strait agricultural production, the government strongly urges the land side to provide relevant information on the existing pipelines according to cross-strait agreements to jointly prevent Africa. Cross-border transmission of piglets.
In addition, the Council of Agriculture said on the 4th that the COA has conveyed its wishes through the MAC and the Straits Exchange Foundation. It is hoped that Taiwan can organize a delegation to visit the mainland to observe the actual cases of African swine fever. At the same time, Taiwan can also provide mainland epidemic prevention technology to prevent blockage. African swine fever. (Editor: Lin Kelun) 1071206
