In order to further enhance the emergency response capabilities of medical staff in dealing with sudden death and optimize the emergency process, Jinan Hospital organized an emergency drill for the rescue of unaccompanied sudden death patients on April 27, aiming to enhance the emergency response capabilities and rescue efficiency of medical staff. Vice President Pang Dong, the Medical Department, the Nursing Department, and staff from various departments observed and learned on site.
The whole drill was conducted in the form of on-site scenario simulation. Doctors and nurses actively cooperated and conducted a full simulation drill from a series of links such as condition assessment, rapid reporting, and on-site first aid. When the nurse at the medical reception desk found that the patient had an unexpected condition, the medical staff responded quickly and remained calm in the face of danger. They immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and compression for the patient. The doctor immediately went forward to check on the patient and assess the condition. The treating nurse quickly performed ventilator-assisted breathing, ECG monitoring connection, intravenous access opening, and medication according to the doctor's orders. The entire first aid process was orderly, the operation procedures were closely linked and properly connected, and the medical staff had clear division of labor, skilled operations, and standardized and orderly operations.
After the drill, Pang Dong gave a comprehensive review and summary of the drill process. She affirmed the performance of the medical staff in the drill and also pointed out the shortcomings. She said: Every emergency drill is a dynamic reinforcement of the medical safety line of defense. We summarize experience through actual combat drills and conduct a comprehensive review to ensure that every patient can receive the most timely and effective treatment.
This emergency rescue drill for unaccompanied sudden death patients not only tested the medical staff of Jinan Hospital's mastery of the rescue process and their ability to respond to sudden death patients, but also demonstrated the cooperation and coordination between various departments of the hospital. In the next step, Jinan Hospital will continue to strengthen emergency drills and training, and continuously improve the quality of medical services and emergency rescue capabilities.
