China - 1 new H7N9 avian flu case in Shandong - April 11, 2017

One case has been disclosed by the HFPC of Weihai city, Shandong.


Weihai city of Shandong province found a case of H7N9 avian flu

Apr. 11, 2017 Weihai city confirmed a case of H7N9 avian flu. The patient is 60-year-old Male, and under treatment in a hospital.
After diagnosis of the patient, Weihai city's Medical and Health authority(s) are developing epidemiological studyepidemiological study, sample collection and tracing close contacts based upon National Requirement. No ILI symptom shown as yet.
Based upon Prevention and controlling requirement, goverenment of Weihai city held H7N9 prevention and controlling meeting and decided to close live poultry market in the region for the time being. The market(s) will be opened after completion of sterilization and cleaning up.

China - Shandong: a human case of H7N9 in Weihai

Reporter learned from Weihai City People's Government News Office official microblogging @ Weihai released was informed that April 11, 2017, Weihai City, confirmed a case of H7N9 flu cases, the patient male, 60 years old, is currently active in the hospital. City Health and Family Planning Department is in accordance with national requirements to carry out epidemiological survey, specimen collection and testing, close contact tracking, has not yet found other similar cases.
