The SEREMI de Salud referred to the occurrence of an outbreak that to date affects 37 older adults belonging to a Long Stay Establishment of La Serena. According to the epidemiological investigation it was determined that the causative agent is Influenza A (H3), confirmed by the Institute of Public Health. The Sanitary Authority is conducting the epidemiological and health research that aims to determine the causes of the outbreak. In this regard, SEREMI Health Rosendo Yanez said: "From the outset are the epidemiology teams of the institution that have been reinforced by a central level team and have been working to determine the theological agent causing the respiratory complications of the residents".
