The undersecretary of Public Health, Liliana Jadue, did a balance this Wednesday of the behavior of the virus AH1N1 this 2010, which has not caused so many ravages with regard to 2009, registering up to the moment 123 cases confirmed with the illness, of which three died and 31 have presented gravity.
Three persons who stopped existing were, one at the beginning of 2010, for consequence of the infection in 2009; other, a 22-year-old, resident man in the Region of the Maule, and the third decease happened yesterday. It is a question of a 39-year-old, resident woman in Port Montt, which did not have other base risks although it was presenting a bacterial infection.
Although the situation is lamentable for the deceases and illnesses, it is much calmer and positive now, for all that in 2009 for the flu there were 153 deceased, thousand 622 serious cases, for a whole of 12 thousand 302 cases confirmed with the influenza.
The contribution of which this has declined this 2010 they it have done all, the persons who have learned to take care, the educational campaigns, of the campaign of vaccination that included almost 3 million persons, the officials, the whole population, expressed the undersecretary.
Jadue said that 31 serious cases this year are concentrated on the south zone of the country, especially on the regions of The Rivers and of The Lagos.
He added that the predominant virus in these moments is the sincicial that there represents 83 % of virus that circulates, but with minor circulation than in 2009, which it means less children who are sick.
Nevertheless, they are starting increasing other seasonal viruses that are getting over to the pandemic virus AH1N1, expressing Jadue that probably the AH1N1 will not be called pandemic but virus of the traditional influenza.
As the cases of virus AH1N1 have been much more under this year it is difficult to estimate when it would be the peak in this period, but in 2009 at this point the peak was next to happening.
Jadue said that although the situation is light, it means that to lower the custody neither do not even do not even to relax the measurements of control in the population not between the officials of the centers of health not in the welfare networks.
The undersecretary expressed that in the offices where the vaccine should be available the persons can be inoculated.
