Santiago, 19 Jun (Notimex) .- The Chilean health authorities today tightened the fight against human influenza in the country, where they have confirmed more than three thousand cases, with the purchase of 75 mechanical ventilators to assist seriously ill patients.
Undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Ministry of Health, Julio Montt, said that the fans are divided into various health services throughout the country to cope with the increase in hospitalizations per A/H1N1 virus.
He explained that the devices are a tremendous contribution to strengthening the intensive care unit and intermediate both adult and pediatric order to account for the needs of critically ill patients. "
Local media reported that so far some 40 patients have required intensive care in different hospitals of the country as a result of human influenza, which has caused four deaths in Chile...
