10 year old boy died from Hanta virus in Octava Regi?n

The child is the fatality number 14 so far this year because of illness.

SANTIAGO .- A 10 year old boy died from Hanta virus in the Eighth Region, as
confirmed by the Institute of Public Health (ISP).

The boy, from a rural area of the town of Pinto, had entered the last month
Clinical Hospital of Chill?n with serious respiratory problems and died on 29
April.

A week of death, the ISP confirmed that the cause was the spread of that virus,
Biob?o radio reported.

According to the latest report released by the Ministry of Health, it would be the 14th person to
died this year from the virus.

This year, health authorities have noted an increase in cases of contagion syndrome
Hantavirus cardiopulmonary (SCPH).
