SANTIAGO .- The outbreak of human influenza in Chile has behaved like the rest of the world: a vast majority of mild cases, focusing on children under 20 years, and very few serious cases.
The ISP and the private sector of Health reported a total of 890 cases nationwide.
Of these, 411 are confirmed by the ISP 479 and the private sector. It should be noted that since May 20, 4 laboratories belonging to private schools (Las Condes Clinic, German, and St. Mary's Hospital in addition to the UC), began to perform PCR tests to confirm or rule out infection by this virus.
