Re: Atypical Pneumonia Cases - Various Countries

To concentrate this topic - the case in Chichiriviche Venezuela was caused by "mal de Chagas", a known disease (and posted on Promedmail 4/2-4/5, three separate postings). The latest update on that outbreak (which is not person-to-person contagious) is that there were 80 cases within the school (77 students, 2 teachers and a cook), NO cases outside the school, and that at least 55 of the 80 cases have been discharged from the hospital.

The outbreak in Oaxaca, on the other hand is troubling...

Can we change the name on this one now to Chagas' Disease - Venezuela, as we know the cause of this outbreak?
