CAR: death of a Chinese subject at the prefectural hospital in Bouar.

By Zibaya Cedric -June 1, 2020

Bouar (Corbeaunews-Central African Republic) - He was declared clinically dead a few hours after his admission to the emergency department of the prefectural hospital in Bouar on Sunday, May 31.

This Sunday around 3 p.m., a man of Chinese nationality, coming from the mining town of Abba, in the prefecture of Nana-Mamb?r?, was declared clinically deceased in the prefectural hospital of Bouar following a short illness .

According to a local medical source contacted by CNC, the man is suffering from Plasmodium Falcipalum, responsible for the fatal form of malaria. For the inhabitants of Bouar, there is no doubt, this Chinese would have died of the Covid-19, which is completely false, retorts an official of the municipality of Bouar questioned by CNC. His body should be transferred to Bangui by road this Monday, June 01, according to his relatives.

Recall that since 2018, the Central African government had conceded to Chinese investors a vast mining territory in the locality of Abba (Nana-Mamb?r?), in Bozoum (Ouham-P?nd?), in Gaga (Ombella Mpoko), in Sosso-Nakombo (Mamb?r?-Kad??) and Nola (Sangha-Mba?r?). Several Chinese subjects work in these sectors and local populations continue to denounce the ecological disaster character of these large-scale mining operations.
