Shaded areas on the map do not necessarily mean that there are infected mosquitoes in that area.Aedes aegypti mosquitoes are more likely to spread viruses like Zika, dengue, chikungunya and other viruses than other types of mosquitoes such as Aedes albopictus mosquitoes.
