CDC update on first Ebola case diagnosed in the United States


WHAT: CDC will host a press briefing to update the investigation of the first Ebola case diagnosed in the United States.

Frieden says that in the area believed to be the epicenter of the ebola outbreak in West Africa the increasing rate of cases is slowing.

Frieden says that in the area believed to be the epicenter of the ebola outbreak in West Africa the increasing rate of cases is slowing.

I think what he must mean is that the rate of reported cases is slowing. How closely related those numbers are to actual cases is not known, and there is evidence to suggest that the correlation is, in fact, very poor.
