  • The CDC recaps the 2013-2014 flu season, which caused fewer illnesses and deaths than in recent years
  • People between the ages of 50 and 64 had much higher rate of hospitalization than in years past
  • Last year's flu vaccine was a close match for the viruses that circulated in the U.S., laboratory data show

The article below reports that the NY health commissioner says their two waves, (first A then B in the Spring), put flu activity above normal there, though that may not have translated into more hospitalizations or deaths. If it did, it would be interesting to know why.
