The results of tests on a Cape Town man who was admitted to hospital on suspicion of having contracted swine flu during a trip to Argentina and Mexico were expected on Thursday.
That's according to Cape Town Medi-Clinic spokesperson Biren Valodia, after the man's condition improved "dramatically" after his isolation at the hospital since Monday evening.
The patient was admitted to hospital with a high fever and other flu-like symptoms, and was immediately placed in quarantine as a precaution.
Valodia said on Thursday that the patient was doing "very well".
On Wednesday Dr Stefan Smuts, of the hospital's clinical department, said there had been a "dramatic" improvement in his condition since his admission.
