I acknowledge my dear scientific colleagues, both students (Penny Chan, Rosie Lees, Angie Panoskaltsis and Colin Anderson) and other respected fellow scientists (including the reviewers of this manuscript), some who emphatically wanted me to make the case for coinhibition. I would also like to recognize The Rachel Maddow Show (TRMS on MSNBC) for Rachel's ability to put together a complex story, giving me the courage to try the same. Rachel recently pointed out the lack of use of the SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal anti-spike antibodies to treat early COVID-19 in order to avoid serious long-COVID; these already proven useful preparations are sitting on shelves gathering dust. While these antibodies may interfere with immunization efficacy (unlikely, if separated in time by a month or so), understanding the anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody mechanisms through experimental observations will encourage its use.
