Nunavut Government announces an end to outbreaks in Pangnirtung and Pond Inlet

Nunavut's health department has officially declared an end to tuberculosis outbreaks in Pangnirtung and Pond Inlet.

Both communities have been dealing with the outbreak for years. For Pangnirtung, whose outbreak was first declared on Nov. 25, 2021, 47 active cases and 225 latent cases were detected during the course of the outbreak. For Pond Inlet, whose outbreak was first declared on March 17, 2023, 13 active and 117 latent cases were detected...
