Three new human cases of West Nile reported in Alberta

Time to DEET up.

Alberta Health Services reported three new human cases of West Nile virus in the province ? including a Calgary woman ? bringing the total of confirmed cases in the province this year to four.

Of the three new cases, one of them ? a woman living in central Alberta ? contracted the neurological, or more serious form of West Nile. Health officials haven?t yet concluded where she was exposed to the virus...

EDMONTON - A person has died from the West Nile virus in southern Alberta.

Alberta Health Services says it's the first death related to the virus since 2007.

Ten cases of the infection have been reported in Alberta this year...
