Windsor Regional Hospital tells CBC News that staff there are treating a patient after the patient was admitted with signs of the Ebola virus.

Ron Foster, the vice president of public affairs and communications, said it is not a confirmed case of Ebola, but the hospital is taking precautions.

"We are investigating the possible relation to symptoms of Ebola. That will take time. All precautions are in place," Foster said.

Foster said the patient is currently in isolation and that the hospital has enacted all safety protocols.

Foster would not say whether the patient is male or female.

Dr. Allen Heimann of the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit would only say the patient has recently from one of the West African countries currently dealing with a Ebola outbreak...
