Saskatchewan reported four more COVID-19-related deaths Thursday, along with 324 new cases.

Two of people who died were in their 80s. They were from the Regina and south central zones.

One of the others who died was in their 30s and from the north central area, while the fourth was in their 50s and from the north east zone.

These deaths bring the province's total to 75 since the beginning of the pandemic...

Three more people have died following a positive diagnosis of the COVID-19 virus, the Government of Saskatchewan said in a release on Sunday.

Sunday's release said two people in the 80 and above age group in Saskatoon died and a person in Regina in their 70s died. Saskatchewan is now reporting 89 deaths.

Another 222 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Saskatchewan on Sunday, bringing the province's total to 11,971 cases reported since the beginning of the pandemic.

The new cases reported Sunday include 15 in the far north west zone, nine in far north east, 39 in north west, 15 in north central, six in north east, 53 in Saskatoon, three in central west, eight in central east, 57 in Regina, four in south west, six in south central and five in the south east zone.

Five cases that had pending residence information were assigned to two from the far north east zone, two from the north west, and one from the Saskatoon zone...

Saskatchewan has now had more than 90 COVID-19-related deaths after two more residents with the illness died, public health officials announced Monday.

The people were both at least 80 years old and lived in the Saskatoon and north west zones.

The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Saskatchewan is now 91. Thirty-one of those have been reported within the past week.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan's total known COVID-19 cases to date has surpassed 12,000 after public health officials announced 269 new COVID-19 cases Monday.

Fifty-nine of the new cases were from the Regina area, 51 from the Saskatoon area, 50 were linked to the north central region and 30 were from the north west.

Seventeen new cases were announced in the north east zone, 16 from the central east and 14 from the far north east area. Eight new cases are linked to the far north west, six are from the south east, three are from the far north central area, two are from central west and one is from the south west.

REGINA -- Seven people died after testing positive for COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, the province reported Tuesday. Saskatchewan also reported 194 new cases.

Five new deaths were reported in the 80-plus age range; four in Saskatoon and one in Regina. One person who died was in their 20s from the Northwest and one was in their 50s from the Central West.

There are 4,204 cases active out of 12,432 reported. There were 363 new recoveries on Tuesday.

Of the cases, 4,204 cases out of the 12,432 cases are considered active. A total of 8,130 individuals have recovered...

Public health officials announced 169 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan Wednesday.

Of those, 38 are in Saskatoon, 35 in the northwest zone, 30 in Regina, 28 in the north central area, 13 in the northeas, and three in the far northwest.

Two new cases were reported in each of the far north central, northeast, central east and south central zones. The southeast, central west and southwest areas each had one new case.

Residence information is pending for 11 of the new cases.

The number of known active cases in Saskatchewan rose slightly from Tuesday, to 4,213...

REGINA -- Seven COVID-19 deaths were reported in Saskatchewan on Thursday, along with 238 new cases.

SHA CEO Scott Livingstone and Dr. Saqib Shahab will provide a live COVID-19 update at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. This event will be streamed live on CTVNewsRegina.ca and CTVNewsSaskatoon.ca.

One new death was a person in their 40s in the Southeast zone. One new death was a person in their 60s in the North Central zone. Five were in their 80s, four in Saskatoon and one in Regina.

There are 3,978 cases active as of Thursday, out of 12,832 cases to date.

The province reported 466 new recoveries on Thursday.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 230 (19 new cases per 100,000 population)...

Alberta’s COVID-19 death toll increased by 30 on Thursday. It’s a number Alberta’s chief medical officer of health called a “heartbreaking figure.”

To date, 790 Albertans have now died.

“If anyone still needs reminding of the seriousness of the virus, of the importance of the restrictions that are currently in place and the importance of doing everything possible to limit our interactions and break the chains of transmission, this is it,” Dr. Deena Hinshaw said...

REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported three more residents with COVID-19 had died and added 226 new cases and 105 recoveries Sunday.

All three people were from the Regina region. Two were over the age of 80 and the third was between the ages of 70 and 79.

Of the new cases, 55 are in Saskatoon, 38 are in the north central region, 32 are in Regina, 30 each are in the central east and north west regions, six are in the far north west, six in the south east and five in both the north east and south central zones...

Saskatchewan reporting four new COVID-19-related deaths and 206 new cases on Monday.

Forty-six new cases are in the Saskatoon region, 38 are in the north central zone, 37 are in the north west, 26 are in the Regina zone, 13 are in the far north east, 12 are in the north east, 10 are in the far north west, 10 are in the central east, six are in the south central region, four are in the south east zone and one is in the south west. Three have pending residence information.

All four deaths were in the Regina zone. One death was in the 50 to 59 age range, one was in the 60 to 69 age range, one was in the 70 to 79 age group and the fourth was in the 80 and older age group.

There have now been 122 known COVID-19-related deaths in Saskatchewan so far this year.

REGINA -- Five more people have died of COVID-19, the province reported on Wednesday, in addition to 159 new cases.

The three of the residents who died were in their 80s; one in the Northwest, one in the Central East region and one in Regina. Two others were in their 70s in Regina.

There are 3,850 cases active in the province out of 14,101. The province reported 249 new recoveries.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 215 (17.7 new cases per 100,000 population)...

Total active coronavirus cases below 3K in Saskatchewan, 3 more deaths reported

Three more people who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, bringing Saskatchewan’s total up to 154.

The recently deceased were all in the Saskatoon zone, with one in their 30s, another in their 60s and the last in the 80-plus age group, according to a press release.

Health officials said there were a total of 147 new cases in Wednesday’s daily update, with the overall total for the province growing to 15,160 since the first case was reported in March. They added the new seven-day average of daily cases is down to 152.

According to a press release, most of the new cases are located in the Regina zone with 44, while there are 25 in far north east, 17 in south east, 13 in Saskatoon, 10 in north central, nine in north west, seven in central east, five in north east, four in far north west, three in south central as well as two in south west. Residence information is still pending for eight new infections.

There are currently 2,949 active cases in the province, health officials said. This is the lowest number since Nov. 24 when there were 2,927.

In the province, 151 people are currently in hospital with COVID-19.

Officials said 378 more people have recovered, bringing total recoveries to 12,057...
