Six cases of Legionnaires? disease confirmed in SW Calgary: AHS

Officials continue to investigate what caused an outbreak of Legionellosis in Calgary.
Alberta Health Services has confirmed six cases of Legionellosis, also known as Legionnaires? disease, all reported within a roughly 16 kilometre radius in southwest Calgary.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Judy MacDonald said Friday that the patients were both male and female and range in age from 51 to 78. They all live or work in the same area.
Despite the concentrated area, MacDonald said none of the six patients know each other, and officials are at a bit of a loss as to how they were exposed to the bacteria...
