[TD]Epidemiological surveillance network of Cameroon (RESCAM) in collaboration with the National Veterinary Laboratory (LANAVET) continue the epidemiological investigation, including enhanced surveillance and laboratory tests. Sequencing of viruses isolated shows that they belonged to a H5 highly pathogenic avian influenza virus lineage and is within the gene cluster 2.3.2.1c (WHO/OIE/FAO, 2014). As part of the disease management, zones have been identified: protection zone, surveillance zone and free zone. Biosecurity measures applied in each zone are in accordance with Chapter 10.4. on infection with avian influenza viruses of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2015) and Law No. 006 of 16 April 2001 on animal health standards applying to livestock diseases legally considered as contagious and notifiable. No new avian influenza cases have been identified.[/TD]
