Administer Immunizations in Preparation for Respiratory Virus Season (Influenza, RSV, and COVID-19)


CDPH/Health Advisory - October 14, 2025 - California has joined Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii in the West Coast Alliance and recommends immunizations for influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and COVID-19 (PDF) for the 2025-26 respiratory virus season. Respiratory virus vaccines will continue to be covered by health plans and insurance companies. The California Department of Health (CDPH) recommends providers to administer immunizations for influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 to all eligible (PDF) persons this fall, especially those at higher risk for severe illnesses. This CAHAN includes guidance for the respiratory virus season and the release of the Respiratory Viruses Healthcare Professionals Hub​, which houses resources for healthcare professionals and LHJs
