Alameda County confirms Argosy University employee died of meningitis in January

As Santa Clara University battles a potentially deadly meningitis-causing bacteria that so far has afflicted two students pledging the same fraternity, Alameda County Public Health officials on Thursday confirmed that an adult employee at Argosy University in Alameda died last week from meningitis.
But Sherri Willis, spokeswoman for the public health department, could not confirm what kind of meningitis it was, or whether it was the same serogroup B strain that has afflicted the two SCU students.
Moreover, she emphasized that the two cases in separate counties are not related...
