According to the State Department of Health (SES), this is the first case of death by disease in the State in the past four years. She was admitted in a private hospital and began to be treated soon after the Carnival. According to the deputy secretary of Health Surveillance of SES, Alberto Carneiro, the suspicion is that the victim has contracted the disease exactly at this time.
