Bacteria Claims 4th Victim in Brazil?s Capital

BRASILIA ? A 6-year-old boy has become the fourth person to die in Brasilia after becoming infected with the streptococcus pyogenes bacteria, Brazilian health officials said Wednesday.

The boy, who attended a public school in Brasilia?s upscale Asa Sul district, died on Oct. 8 at Guara Regional Hospital, where he was taken with symptoms of chicken pox and treated with antibiotics, the Federal District Health Secretariat said...

Actually, as the first two deaths were in Sao Carlos, and there are now four in Brasilia, there seem to be at least six total deaths.
