Health Secretary confirms three deaths due to Influenza in Rio Grande do Norte in 2019

Three people died in Rio Grande do Norte victims of influenza in 2019. The information is from the Secretariat of State for Public Security (Sesap), which confirmed the registry of 24 cases of four different types of the virus this year in the state of Potiguar. Two of the deaths were caused by the H1N1 flu virus and the other by Influenza A, according to the Secretariat. A 9-year-old child died in Santa Cruz, an old man aged 74 in Jardim do Serid?, and a 45-year-old man died in Santana do Matos. Alessandra Lucchesi, sub-coordinator of Sesap's Epidemiological Surveillance, says that the number is below that recorded in previous years. In 2018, there were 15 deaths in the 12 months. In any case, it states that it is necessary for the population to take the necessary precautions to avoid contamination by the virus.
