Para?ba confirms first death due to H1N1 and another 14 cases are investigated


Para?ba confirmed this year two cases of H1N1 influenza, and one of the patients died due to complications caused by the virus, also known as Influenza A. The information is from the State Department of Health of Para?ba (SES-PB), which revealed that another 14 cases of patients suspected of having been infected with Influenza virus (type A and others) are still under investigation. According to SES, 19 people were infected with the virus in 2017, and of these 6 cases they died. The symptoms caused by the H1N1 virus are very similar to an ordinary flu, but they are stronger, according to the pulmonologist Sebasti?o Costa. "There are five days of very high fever, joint pain, indisposition, cough," he said.

The case happened on Tuesday (10). The information was disclosed by the Correio Verdade program, TV Correio, this Wednesday (11). According to Sa?de, the boy was hospitalized in the hospital of the city of Patos, had complications and died. The doctor who would have attended the child commented that it would be the H1N1 flu due to the symptoms of the disease. After communication of death, a protocol was opened and investigations commenced. The boy's body is to be buried this Wednesday (11).

The 15-year-old teenager who was admitted to the Tibiri Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Santa Rita, Grande Jo?o Pessoa, on Tuesday (15), did not resist and died on Friday (18). Carlos Eduardo was treated for the first time on Tuesday and returned home after being medicated. However, as he continued with his symptoms, he was hospitalized earlier this Thursday (19). The Directorate of the unit stated that there was no specific care for the symptoms of the victim in reference units.

An eight-year-old girl died on Thursday (05) on suspicion of H1N1 flu at the Patos Regional Hospital. It is a natural of the Mata de Oit?s Site, Diamante municipality (PB). The death was confirmed by the doctors who attended the diamond, but the cause is still under investigation of the direction of the hospital. The little girl identified by the name of Victoria, was hospitalized on Wednesday, 04, with suspicion of a strong flu and tiredness. The adolescent's family sought care for him at the UPA in Tibiri neighborhood in Santa Rita on May 15 and the minor was medicated and released. Carlos Eduardo's health condition worsened and he was hospitalized again on Thursday (17). On Friday (18), he died.
