Brazil - Mato Grosso do Sul: cases of H1N1 doubled in a month

The beginning of the year until this Wednesday (29), 71 cases of persons with suspected infection with influenza virus H1N1, which causes swine flu, were recorded in the whole of the State. In little more than a month, the cases practically doubled. Bulletin released today by the State Department of Health (SES) reveals that the number of notifications has jumped from 36, as disclosed in the last bulletin last month, to 71. An increase of 97 %.

As well as in our previous newsletter, only one case was confirmed, in the Capital. Campo Grande is the city that concentrates most of the cases so far, 59. Complete the ranking the cities of Saint Gabriel of the West (3), Corumba (2), Anastasius (2) and Aquidauana, Bandeirantes, Caarap?, Sidrolandia and Tacuru, with one record each one.

New death is confirmed in the Capital and cases of flu A increase in the State

A new case of death caused as a result of the virus H1N1 was confirmed in Campo Grande. Different from last week when the increase of cases of notifications for the flu A was of only 5 in the whole State, in this week, the number grew of 155 for 169, an increase of 14 cases in one week.

According to swinging spread in this Wednesday (8) by the General office of Level of health, only in Campo Grande they were 11 new cases in one week. Now, the cases registered from the beginning of the year reach 122 in the Capital.

The second city in the ranking of the notifications is Sidrol?ndia with six cases, pursuance of Tip Por? and Saint Gabriel of the West with five and Gilded with four.

DEATHS

Up to last week, two deaths for the disease had been confirmed by the Ses. Two deaths they took place on account of the virus H3N2.

Today, in Ses it confirmed one more death, the death also took place in Campo Grande and was caused by the virus H1N1.

In MS, 2-year-old girl is a first death for H1N1 in 2015, she says Health

The General office of Level of health (SES) of Mato Grosso of the South confirmed in this Wednesday (8) the first death for Influenza H1N1. The victim is a 2-year-old girl who was interned for one day in the Holy Big Country house.


In accordance with the advisory body of press of the hospital, the child submitted in the hospital in the last Friday (3) already with suspicion of the disease. In Saturday (4), the girl died. The death was confirmed i spread in the report epidemiol?gico of the CATHEDRALS in this Wednesday.


There were already confirmed 169 cases of respiratory sharp serious syndrome (SRAG), 4 of Influenza TO H1N1, 11 for Influenza THE H3N2 and others of Influenza B. Another two deaths had been already confirmed, being victims of the virus Influenza H3N2 of Big Field.

In a week, Capital records 8 new cases of Avian influenza H1N1

Were recorded eight new cases reported of people hospitalized with suspected of contracting Bird Flu H1N1 in Campo Grande in the last week. According to data from the Epidemiological Bulletin released today the Department of Health (SES), which is currently the Capital account with 130 cases reported, there were 122 in the Bulletin released on 8 July. The total number of reported cases in the State also increased, from 169 to 179. In relation to cases confirmed, in the Capital, are still two and four.

According to the data in the SES, approximately 40% of patients affected by the virus H1N1 are children between zero and two years. Until now, was recorded only one death caused by the disease in Campo Grande.

Health confirms 7th death for influenza in Mato Grosso of the South

The Municipal General office of Public Health (Sesau) of Big Field confirmed the 7th death for the virus Influenza type "B". The victim is an official of the Mail of 48 years, who died in Friday (13).
