The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox (or monkeypox) in Brazil rose to 592, according to data from the Ministry of Health compiled until this Wednesday. Only the North Region does not register cases of monkeypox in Brazil so far. Another six states — Alagoas, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Paraíba, Piauí and Sergipe — also did not confirm infections. The folder has already ruled out 299 possible cases.

Outbreaks can be controlled by medication. However, O GLOBO showed that the country also does not have medicines against the disease available — the last approval granted by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) expired in 2010.

Brazil is already the seventh country in the world with the highest number of confirmed cases of monkeypox (monkeypox), according to data from the Ministry of Health and international health agencies. The first diagnosis took place in São Paulo on June 8.
