Died the 13th Indian child victim of diarrhea

He died on Thursday (19), in the evening, the 13th Indian child victim of acute diarrhea and dehydration. The suspected an outbreak of rotavirus, meanwhile, is being dismissed by public health authorities. The child was 10 months and left a village in the municipality of Pauini (PM). He died with the same symptoms of children who died in the villages Acre, fever, acute diarrhea and dehydration. Yesterday, two more Indian children came to the Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital.
On Tuesday (17), the Special Indigenous Health information passed to the Ministry of Health issued a statement dismissing the momentary existence of an outbreak of rotavirus in the region.
The information contrasts with the statement of Secretary of Health of Santa Rosa of the Purus (AC), Francisca Souza, who confirmed a case of rotavirus among the 73 ill children identified in visits by multidisciplinary teams organized by the City of Santa Rosa and the Government Acre to the indigenous villages in the region of the Purus.
