Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) could lead to a sharp increase in the levels of inflammatory cytokines. We report the efficacy of therapeutic plasma exchange in severe COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. The results suggested TPE could be used as a strategy to attenuate circulating cytokines and inflammatory mediators.
